John A. Overton, Jr., CEO
John founded Overton & Ogburn Associates, Inc. in 1976, and has served since then as president and CEO. Along with partners Dennis Carolan, Denny Kanuck, Steve Larsen and Bob Scanlan, John oversees Overton & Associates, LLC. With 40 years of experience in commercial construction, John is responsible for the strategic planning and vision of both our firm and our real estate development arm, Overton & Ogburn Associates, Inc. He is actively involved in creating long-standing client relationships and helping clients find the best facility solutions.
Dennis T. Carolan, Vice President
Dennis has been with Overton & Associates since 1986 and has 30 years experience in commercial construction. He is responsible for the management of all company production, including construction, mill shop operations, and production personnel. He is involved in all stages of our construction projects, ensuring that the quality standards of Overton & Associates are maintained.
Denise P. Kanuck, Partner and Vice President
Denny has been with the company since its inception. A licensed interior designer, she is responsible for marketing, sales, and consulting services. She is experienced in retail design and strategic real estate planning for financial institutions. Denny specializes in developing resources for the company and continuing education for staff members. Creating and sustaining close, valued client relationships is one of her primary goals.
Steven Larsen, Partner and Executive Vice President
Steve is the firm’s new Executive Vice President and currently directs Sales and Client Management. He has been with the firm since 1984 and previously managed Overton’s Architecture and Design Department for more than 15 years. Steve is responsible for managing the sales and business development group as well as client coordination and communications. His experience has enabled us to continually expand our client base as well as create long standing customer relationships.
Robert Scanlan, Partner and Vice President
Bob has been with the firm since 1979, beginning his company career as a construction supervisor. His hands-on experience has given him special expertise, and he understands the construction industry intimately. As chief estimator, Bob is responsible for all project budgets and construction estimates.
Lisa Schuster, Chief Financial Officer
Lisa has more than 16 years experience in corporate accounting. With her background in business and accounting she has worked for local as well as national companies. Lisa is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting at Overton & Associates.
